Cybersecurity Analyst

Overview:
We're seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our security operations function, helping to detect, investigate, and respond to threats while supporting broader risk and compliance initiatives. Responsibilities:

• Monitor SIEM alerts and investigate potential security incidents in real time
• Perform triage, containment, and remediation coordination for confirmed incidents
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans and coordinate patch remediation with IT teams
• Support risk assessments and maintain risk registers for key systems
• Assist with compliance audits and evidence gathering (NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA as applicable)
• Maintain and tune detection rules to reduce false positives and improve coverage
• Contribute to incident response playbooks and tabletop exercises
• Track and report on key security metrics for leadership review

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a SOC, security analyst, or related role
• Hands-on experience with SIEM and EDR tools such as Splunk or CrowdStrike
• Solid understanding of common attack vectors, malware behavior, and threat intelligence
• CompTIA Security+ certification required; CISSP or GSEC a plus for senior candidates
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate findings clearly to non-security stakeholders
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for critical incidents
