Network Administrator

Overview:
We're seeking a hands-on Network Administrator to manage the day-to-day health, security, and performance of a mid-sized enterprise network supporting multiple office locations. This role blends proactive maintenance with reactive troubleshooting and is a great fit for someone who enjoys owning the network end-to-end.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and monitor routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points across all locations
• Perform regular network health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues, packet loss, and latency problems, escalating to vendors when needed
• Manage VPN infrastructure and remote access for a distributed workforce
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, IP address schemas, and configuration documentation
• Implement and enforce network security policies, including VLAN segmentation and access control lists
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours incident response
• Coordinate with ISPs and telecom vendors on circuit installs, outages, and upgrades

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
• Working knowledge of Cisco or Juniper hardware and IOS/JunOS
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP a plus)
• CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong documentation habits and ability to work independently
• Comfortable lifting/installing equipment in server rooms and wiring closets as needed
